Our Troop was
founded in June of 1997 after the previous troop had disbanded many years
before. The first
Scoutmaster was Brian Valentine from 1997 to May 2010. Dan Lupu is the
current Scoutmaster and Jody Denison is his Assistant Scoutmaster. Former Assistant Scoutmasters since
inception have been numerous, Norm Blakely, Carter Moore, John Stewart,
Radford Ching, Dave Watson, Rob Watson, Dan Lupu, and Dave Valentine.
The troop started with 5 boys, Will Hanson, Paul Blakely, David Valentine, Dave Soltyshak, and IvanIler. The
founding committee members were Elaine Valentine, Mona Jean Ferrell, Sally Iler, and Advisors Gene and Gary Nethaway.
